—5. What You Make It
Young Lox is a pretty average rapper, but damn this album is really well produced. Nothing groundbreaking, but from chipmunk soul to mobb music sampling 80’s funk, nearly every beat just hits the spot. Add a few great guests (ampichino, yukmouth, jacka, joe blow, lil rue…) and you have a pretty good thing. Why can’t the jacka have the same quality control ? (and why can’t husalah release music ?)
